So, today was my last day of Driver's ed, and it was really looking like it wasn't going to go well. First off I was late to class, which earned me a stern look from my teacher Mrs. Meloni. I just thought "No big deal", and went to my seat. We had to do our written finals that day and I , being the asshat that I am, didn't study at all. We checked our papers so I knew I only passed the test with ONE EXTRA POINT. I should have been in the clear, but my teacher already had it in for me, and once she caught a glance of my paper she used it as a "last straw" excuse to single me out in front of the entire class.
"Michael, tell me one reason I should let you pass the class."
"With all due respect mam, because I've passed all of my assignments and tests."
"I don't care, part of being in driver's ed is your ATTITUDE, and you have obviously have shown time, and again that you just don't have the right attitude to be driving."
Trying to keep calm, I replyed with the least innapropriate response.
"Could you elaborate mam?"
"You've come late in to class FOURTEEN TIMES, you can only barely pass your assignments, you never participate in class discussions, and you always wear that creepy make up! There is no way I'm going to let you walk out of this room today with your certificate."
Trying to think through the storm of anger at how unfair this was, I grasped the perfect solution.
"What if I show you a magic trick?" I say, slamming my pencil into the desk so it stood straight up.
"What if I told you I could make this pencil disappear?"
All of the sudden, this pissed off her big, black body guard who stormed over yelling "Why shouldn't I kick your ass right now?".
As soon as he got within arm's reach I grabbed the back of his head and forced his eye down onto the pencil. This scared Mrs. Meloni so much she just right out gave me my certificate, and I was on my merry way.
And that is how I passed driver's ed.
